There are so many just good things that happened in May. While there is still a lot of uncertainty, and things continue to look nothing like before COVID…. I am beginning to have more good days than bad, and am doing better at focusing more on the positives than the what ifs. I hope that’s the same for you as well. So let’s chat favorites from the month!
We FINALLY got away. Memorial Day Weekend we hopped in the car and headed to OBX. It was the best feeling in the world, to be at our favorite place, where things felt so normal.

DESK PAD
This DESK PAD is the perfect thing to cover a slightly worn out table top while adding a great pop of color. I also love that it doubles as a mousepad!

OFFICE SHELVES
I knew as soon as I ordered these SHELVES that I would love the way they turned out in my office. I suggest having some help for hanging them, but otherwise a simple project. I am using them for Erin Condren Planners, but I love the look of layering photos in frames as well.

TANNING LOTION
A quarantine goal of mine was to learn to self tan. I am very fair skinned, and don’t love being out in the sun, but my paleness was taking a toll on me during the stay at home order, so I decided to try to self tan. Instantly I felt more alive with some color to my skin. I am still learning, but find that the mix of a FOAM application and then continuing with the LOTION works well for me! I love the Jergen’s brand

$20 SHEETS
I ordered these under $20 sheets from Amazon in March, but I really wanted to get a good review time in before recommending them. I thought when buying that it was a great deal, but now 2 and a half months in I am very happy with the quality as well. You cannot beat the price!
BATHROOM ORGANIZATION
Under my sink needed a bit of a refresh. It took 2 organizing elements to completely change the look of the space. My favorite addition was the lazy susan for all my products. It contains everything but also keeps it simple for use. Check out my IG HIGHLIGHT to see the before and after.

AMAZON TANK TOP
So you know the waffle knit long sleeve top that I found over the winter that I LOVED, but also so many of you loved as well? Well…. there is a tank top version that is just as wonderful! Not only that, but I also found a workout top that is great from Amazon too, and it comes in a ton of great colors!

SHORTS
Good denim at a great price point. I love both these pairs (FRAYED | HEMMED – SHOWN ABOVE) of shorts from Amazon and know I will wear both on repeat all summer long!
NEW VACUUM
Have you ever bought something out of complete frustration? That was this vacuum purchase…. both my current vacuum cleaners are just not cutting it, and it was so annoying…. so I caved and am trying something new. So far, I love it! I got a pet version, but as you know we don’t have pets. I think the power to it is great for any high traffic areas. And as far as vacuums go, the price can’t be beat. I still do love my Shark Duo Clean, for the portability, but needed something more heavy duty.
WORK BAG
So if you have been here for awhile you know this isn’t a new favorite. I found THIS BAG last year, and used it for months. I then found ANOTHER BAG that I also love. For summer I have switched back to the backpack. It’s just great for travel for tech items.

BINGE WORTHY
What have you been watching lately. I have 2 Netflix shows I have binged, loved, and not so patiently waiting for a season 2. The first is OBX. Although not filmed in NC, the scenery of SC is just as wonderful. It was an easy watch, and like a good book, I couldn’t put it away. I finished the season in less than a week! Similarly, Sweet Magnolias was just as binge worthy, but a much different feel. It’s SOOOO good, but man the cliffhangers at the end.
JUNE GOALS
I have a few new goals for the month of June. I started taking a daily vitamin mid-May, and want to continue that into June and beyond. I know it’s such a simple thing, but something I’ve never been good at sticking to. I also NEED to get my closet organized. I posted about it in my organizing confessions post, and it’s not getting any better. I have so much junk in there, and I need to do a real sort through of my wardrobe. My last goal is to play more music in my home. This one sounds so odd, but hear me out. I am not that into music, but when we are at the beach we constantly have it playing and it brings such a great mood to the home (ok maybe it’s the salt in the air at the beach, but I think it’s the music too). I want to make it a point to each day at least for an hour play music through the speaker in our home. Just to see if it makes a difference.
FAVORITE POSTS
I am feeling so accomplished. I was able to complete a daily challenge on Youtube. I posted a new planner video every single day in the month of May. I was sharing the new ERIN CONDREN DAILY PLANNER most days, and it was so fun, not only posting, but also interacting with the viewers. You can see the full playlist HERE. I also have a few blog posts I loved from the month as well. Family boredom busters during quarantine and my planner tools I love post. Be sure to check them out if you haven’t already!
