As we round out week 8 of COVID quarantine I am feeling a bit…. ok a lot anxious. For me it’s getting a bit harder to find the joy each day. Am I eternally grateful that my husband and I are still working and not only our family, but our extended family and friends are healthy, ABSOLUTELY. But…. things are stressful and hard, and I swear to all the holy things if I have to listen to my children argue in this house anymore I’m gonna…… do nothing… go a bit more crazy, but I’m not actually going to DO anything, because we just have to keep going.
So with that said, let’s recap the week shall we?
Everything is green. And we are almost past the point where my little guys allergies are acting up. The lilacs in our backyard are one of my favorite things. The weather has been so hit or miss this week, and the weekend is going to be cold. I am looking forward to more sunshine and hopefully warmer temps in the coming weeks.
School is…. going ok I guess. I am trying to stay hopeful that my kids will return to the classroom after summer break. Distance optional learning just isn’t for us. I always knew I wasn’t cut out to be a homeschool mom, and now I am sure of it.
This week was also Cinco De Mayo, on Taco Tuesday! We did crunch wraps for dinner, and although my first attempt at them, I think they turned out pretty good. I also did queso, which was a hit. I have actually been enjoying my time in the kitchen. Since March 13th we have made every breakfast, lunch and dinner at home for the most part. We have ordered in twice. Once for my birthday and then one other time when I just needed a break! I thought I would miss eating out, but I really haven’t.
Let’s talk tv. I have been watching SO much tv lately. That photo was me, completely obsessed with On The Basis Of Sex. I also spent a few late nights working my way through Outer Banks on Netflix which was AMAZING and I loved! I have even found myself watch RHOBH again, why…. I have no idea.
You don’t think I would make it through a week without talking about planners! For the month of May I am posting a Youtube Video every single day of me using the NEW Erin Condren Daily Planner. It’s been so much fun, and I look forward to it everyday.
So that’s about it. I am hoping to have a more positive mindset next week, mentally this week has been tough. I just so badly want things to go back to normal even though I know that isn’t going to happen. A big goal going into next week is to work on my clothes. Weed out the old, put away winter stuff, and refresh for hopefully warmer weather to come!
