Last Friday I got to document the grand opening of the Giant in Seven Corners (Fall’s Church VA). It was such an amazing day, and I think sometimes we take for granted how much work goes into developing and opening the businesses that we rely on for our everyday essentials.

The new large Fairfax Giant has enhanced features that include a fresh cut fruit station as well as an extensive ethnic food section celebrating the local neighborhood’s diverse community. The store also houses a full-service floral section and expanded cheese, deli, meat and seafood departments. When you walk into the store you are greeted by all these modern, efficient counters with the store offerings. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the “Kitchen” counter.

As a busy working mom, anything to make meals easier is what I am all about! From fresh made pizza, sushi, salads, wings and so much more, there is such a huge variety of pre made meals you can grab on the go!

The new Fairfax store will also feature Giant’s Pickup service! Simply place your grocery order online at GiantFood.com and in-store associates will hand-select, pack and deliver orders right to your car… y’all know I love grocery pick up!

One aspect of the day that really stuck with me was the focus on the community. You can see that Giant really values those customers who come in day after day, week after week. Associates often learning customers names. The community outreach to local organizations was a highlight of the morning.

Did you know that Giant has 163 supermarkets in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and DC? For more information on Giant, visit www.giantfood.com.
