1. MY PANTRY MAKES ME HAPPY
The other night while putting away groceries, I…. yet again, thought to myself how much I wished I had a big fancy walk in pantry…. It’s part of our home that I just don’t like, it’s small, with no way to expand to make it bigger, the shelves aren’t ideal, it’s just…. um… annoying. But then once all the groceries were put away, I looked in at it all organized and saw how much I do love it. Do I wish it fit more, yes, but it doesn’t, and I have compromised with storing things elsewhere. But what I do have in the space is almost always organized and a space in our home that I feel like is managed well.
2. THIS WEEKS PODCAST LISTENS
This week I have been catching up on a new to me podcast, and a favorite podcast. First I have been catching up on Cindy’s podcast The Uncurated Life. It’s so good. I have been a fan of Cindy’s for years, I was a guest on the podcast and it’s just so down to earth. A new to me podcast that I have been listening to this week is The Lazy Genius. I follow Kendra on IG and LOVE her content, but never swiped up to listen to her podcast until so many of you recommended it. It’s good. I mean GOOD. Real life stuff that actually helps and works!
3. FEBRUARY FAVORITES
Favorite things from February. The list wasn’t too terribly long, but I feel like the items are so good. I featured clothing, demin shorts as we move into spring, my favorite water bottle and more!
4. AH I ALMOST FORGOT!
Big highlight of the week….. super Tuesday…. kidding kidding….sort of… no Matt and I celebrated 13 years of marriage! We don’t usually do a ton to celebrate… one year, pretty sure it was our 10 year, we had a big fundraiser for baseball with all of our friends (and no kids they were in PA) and I ended up puking all over the bathroom floor… why do I even share these things?!?!?. Most years we just have regular life or work trips that consume the day, but this year we did a weeknight date night dinner and it was perfect!
5. WEEKEND PLANS
This weekend is going to be me trying to balance all the things. The kids have a weekend full of commitments, Lilly is camping and doing a final cookie booth, the boys have baseball, basketball, umpire training…. throw in a birthday party and me having to carve out time to work on some really fun shoots…. it’s just gonna be a busy one. I have realized though, busy is good, busy is what I love, busy is how I am at my best.
Also PS I have never really wanted a professional videographer or photographer because that shit ain’t reality…. but then I take ridiculously stupid pictures…. (see below) and think how in the world do I allow myself to continue in this blogging/social media world….lol…..
