February is probably my least favorite month of the year, at least it’s also the shortest! I’ve recently been more interested in seasonal capsule wardrobes. So the photos from the month really show that simple basic pieces and go a long way, and get a ton of wear. I am looking forward though to transitioning into more of a spring wardrobe going into March and April.
Since the winter has been pretty mild as far as temperature, I’ve gotten lucky in not having to bundle up too much. I am also starting to see as I take photos of my outfits daily that I am totally the type of person that doesn’t love variety in clothing style… and that’s ok!
Work wear for me can be pretty casual, but I still like to feel put together. I find that it’s how I style a basic pair of jeans that makes the difference. Layering with a cardigan is also a way for me to change it up a bit.
This particular pair of jeans (FOUND HERE) is one of my favorites. They are inexpensive, strechy, and the fit is just perfect. They are obviously for more casual days for me, I wouldn’t wear them to work, or a more formal setting. For a more relaxed weekend day, or evening running the kids to and from activities they are perfect.
To say I am not a huge fan of tights is an understatement. I can’t stand them….. so I tend not to wear too many dresses during the winter months. These two dresses are great staples though to have in my closet for days when more formal business attire is needed.
YES! Time for my favorite category! The mom-iform. It’s how I feel the most comfortable! My New Balance sneakers again this month are a favorite. paired with a pair of jeans and and a hoodie, or casual top and I am ready to head out for the day.
A new purchase this month is a henley top from loft. What I love most about it is how loose fitting it is. I am not a fan of tight shirts with no breathing room. I am wearing an XL for reference, and currently the shirt is 40% off!
As we round out February I also want to share the jewelry I posted about earlier this month. So many great options.
