HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!! More importantly, to me at least, HAPPY FRIDAY! It’s been a roller coaster of a long week y’all. But the weekend is here and I am so glad that for the most part, it’s all about relaxing! So here are 5 fun things to kick off the weekend!
1. THE BEST CARDIGAN
Sometimes you find a piece of clothing that immediately you KNOW you will love and have to have it in every color, right?? This really simple cardigan from Target is just the best. Simple, lightweight, soft…. it hits all the marks. It also comes in 6 color variations!

2. BOWS

I LOVE hair accessories. In high school more often than not I would wear ribbons in my hair, I love headbands, and recently I have loved smaller bows in a bun or ponytail. And OMG, am I so happy scrunchies are a thing right now. Below are some of my favorites!

3. WINTER BLUES
No joke, it has been dreary and rainy everyday this week… today the sun has FINALLY decided to come out but temps are under 40 degrees, so it’s chilly. I’ve talked before about how mid January-February isn’t the easiest time for me. After recognizing it in the past few years, it’s been a lot better… and the past 2 years it’s significantly been better since working outside of the home. But man this week it hit me. I didn’t have much choice but to push onward, which honestly is the best…. but I am so looking forward to spring in VA.

4. WHAT SHOULD I WATCH THIS WEEKEND?
I have said it before, winter is when I catch up on movies and tv shows. The rest of the year, I just don’t have the time. This weekend I am going to unplug a bit and binge something…. but I don’t know what. As you know I LOVED The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Matt and I finished The West Wing, I am anxiously awaiting bombshell to come out on demand so I can watch that. So, what have you watched lately that you’ve loved?
5. MY VALENTINE
We are NOT mushy love people. AT ALL. We are more the make people around us completely awkward at how sarcastic we are toward one another people… it’s just always been how Matt and I are. We don’t have big Valentine’s Day plans. Sports will consume the evening for Matthew. I plan to watch a movie with Lilly and JD, and obviously since it’s pizza night, order the heart shaped pizza’s that the kids think are incredible.

I did wear pink today, to be a bit festive, AND the kids class valentines got to school ON TIME. I completely dropped the ball on signing up to bring something for Lilly’s class party, which ironically I made the sign up for…lol…. and didn’t get the time to do something a bit special for the teachers.

OUTFIT DETAILS – I went XL in the shirt
So I also had a major major mom guilt moment, which led me to Giant at 10PM last night to scrounge together anything I could find to help me make Valentines just a bit fun for the kids. We did a breakfast spread this morning with a few balloons, and I…for now…. don’t feel like a terrible mom.

Hope y’all have an amazing weekend!
