WE MADE IT!!!!! Today is the final day of the LONGEST MONTH (not technically, but it sure feels like it). It has bee a roller coaster of a week, and I mean CRAZY. I have managed work, sick kids, one of the most insane experiences of my life, and somehow managed to sort of keep it all together. We are preparing for a new month that includes my plate being pretty full of obligations. So I am going to take this weekend to do a few things. Balance my time between relaxing, resting (to hopefully keep myself healthy), and preparing myself, my kids, my husband, and my home for the next couple weeks. So let’s kick of this weekend with 5 on Friday!
1. MONTHLY FAVORITE THINGS
Like I said I am so happy to turn the page and January is over! With the end of each month comes a couple things. The first is a new feature to the blog which is an outfit roundup! I really hope you all enjoyed it! You can find the post HERE if you missed it. The next is my monthly favorites. I changed up the style of that video a few months ago, and I LOVE IT!
Here is a peek at some of my favorites from the month with easy links if you are looking for a specific product!

2. BREAKFAST FOR DINNER
My family used to be COMPLETELY against this on the meal plan. No one was a fan of the idea to have breakfast for dinner. A huge disappointment to me, you know the one who has to come up with meal plans and ideas the rest of her life….. I decided to just go for it one night. I picked a night that my husband wouldn’t be home for dinner, and the kids are SOLD! I did pancakes, eggs, bacon… and they LOVED IT! I feel like I just hit the jackpot. Does your family do breakfast for dinner?

3. QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Do y’all watch the big award shows? I am hit or miss. I want to love them, but if I don’t catch it live on TV then I typically just skip it. I did watch the Grammy’s though. SO many thoughts. It was such a heavy heavy day. I loved Lizzo’s performance. Now I can’t comment people getting snubbed or robbed of winning, because I just don’t know that much about it. I also LOVE seeing all the fashion, and hearing people’s opinions of the dresses. One thing that did stand out for me was a quote by Alicia Keys…. It just popped out to me, and I love it so much.

4. DIGITAL PLANNER PEOPLE
It’s funny as I started this blog post, like any other week, I sit down on Wednesday and type out my 5 things… then I go back later to write it all out and add photos. Earlier in the week I was determined that moving to a digital planner for my video planning was the right thing to do, and I was going to ask for all the apps, and tips, and how to make it work….. And now here I am on Friday, already over it. LOL. I just don’t know. I cannot get a system I love for it, and I know if I got used to digital it would probably be the best, but I just can’t do it.
5. LOVE IS IN THE AIR
Although I don’t have a plan for Valentines Day… I have already made my first Valentine board…

Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it, so what do you all do to prep? Me, I used to do more actually. I used to make sure the kids all had homemade valentines for their class, that were super creative and unique…. now, not so much. The kids happened to be at Target with me the other day, and we picked out candy valentines for their class. I also snagged some heart shaped Valentine boxes and stickers, you know… thinking ahead for the last minute I need to take a box to school thing. Other than that… I don’t know what our plans are going to be, or if we will do much at all. I always see the elaborate celebrations on IG and I usually end up posting a reminder to the mamas that just don’t do that sort of thing that IT’S OK! It’s totally fine to go all out, but it’s also ok if you don’t. Your kids won’t care and will still love you. I know, because I’ve been there.
