1. DO THIS DAILY

If there is one habit I swear by it is making my bed each day. So as we start into this new year, if you don’t already make this a priority, just try it. Will is work for you, I don’t really know and I HATE giving advice like I am an expert at anything (big pet peeve of mine online…and I am an expert in nothing). but it’s worth a shot. Making my bed just puts me in a productive mindset for the day. And it’s SOOOO much nicer at night to climb into a made bed.
2. THE WEST WING

WE DID IT. Last winter on a day we were snowed in we started the series on Netflix. Of course when spring and summer came around we didn’t watch at all. We picked it back up a few weeks ago, and January 1st at like 1:30am we finished it. IT’S SO GOOD. I am almost positive it is now my favorite show of all time.
3. PANTRY CLEAN OUT

After the holidays I of course, like many of you, feel the need to organize all the things. My fridge and pantry really needed a big clean out. Luckily, a few years ago I found an organizing system that works for my small space. I prefer to take anything and everything out of original packaging and into containers. Below you can find some of my favorites.

4. A NEW FAVORITE

Laptop Case / Planner Folio / Erin Condren Planner
My laptop has been without a case for a couple months now. Mine cracked (saving my actual laptop), and I just hadn’t had a chance to order a new one. I found this one and although a bit loud for what I typically go for, I actually really like it. It is also a bit bulkier than the last one, which I was worried I would hate, but it feels so much more durable.
5. BIRTHDAY PREP
Right after the holidays we get ready to celebrate JD’s birthday. This year he will be turning 7! We decided very early on when the kids were small that as a family we were going to take a different approach with birthdays. We don’t do big parties. Instead we do an experience. We do a few small gifts, and then dinner and cake as a family. I almost have JD’s big day planned. His gifts are bought and wrapped. We have Top Golf reserved, and dinner plans. All that is left is finalizing the cake. He also has school the day of his birthday, last year we donated books to his classroom for his birthday, which I LOVED. We are still working out plans for this year.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
