While Christmas being over can be kind of sad, I will say that this part of the holiday is kind of amazing. Sleeping in, relaxing, no schedule. Also, there is something about preparing for a new year that is exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. This year I am taking a different approach to 2020 that we’ll talk about more in the coming week. For today I thought I would share 5 things from the week.
1. The Favorite Gifts
Yesterday I shared what I got for Christmas (HERE), but I never really showed what we got the kids…. so today I thought I would recap with just a few of their favorites.

2. Office Refresh
Last night I went into my office to simply deflate an air mattress and well…. ended up cleaning out all the Christmas wrapping supplies and completely moving around the furniture. I LOVE IT! It feels so fresh and new!

I still have all of the same furniture, found HERE and rug which is from IKEA. Moving the desks made a huge impact.
3. Best of 2019
As the year comes to an end, I thought it would be fun to look back on some of the most popular items I have shared in 2019. BY FAR the most purchased and talked about item was the Kenneth Cole Backpack. I was instantly obsessed, and was excited to hear so many of you love it as well. More favorites include the Amazon thermal top that I now own in 2 colors.

4. Weekend Plans
No big plans for us this weekend. Honestly it feels so nice to have a clear calendar. I am going to do all the things to get a jump start on 2020! I took a break from filming and posting on Youtube for a bit, which is always so refreshing. I am learning what works for me, and honestly getting rid of the extra. Putting my focus into what I love, and the areas I want Happily A Housewife to grow. We also have big plans of decluttering our garage…. fun times, I know.

5. Looking Ahead: NYE
How are you ringing in 2020? I haven’t put too much thought into honestly. My guess is come Monday or Tuesday I’ll do a quick Target run to grab what I need and it will be a relaxing evening with the kids. In years past we’ve had party’s here, gone out without kids, headed to friend’s houses and also just hung out at home on our own….. so no real tradition or anything, we just kind of wing it.

Ringing in 2019!
