One of the biggest requests I get is to share easy dinner ideas.  We are all looking for new, simple, delicious recipes to have in our arsenal at dinnertime.  For months I have tried to figure out how to share.  I don’t have a stockpile of recipes in blog archives, and honestly I am terrible at sharing my own recipes, I tend to just throw things together when cooking.

This month I am bringing you a month of dinner ideas!  I have put it in calendar form, and found all the recipes online.  Most recipes are few ingredients, easy meals for busy families.  I tried to create this as close to how my family eats as possible.  I ALWAY incorporate a leftover night into the week, as well as a Taco Tuesday.  You will also see that I love using my slow cooker on Mondays when we are trying to get back into the routine of the school week.  If you want to learn more about Meal Planning for your family, be sure to check out THIS post.

September is a month of transition for so many families, back to school, back to work for many teacher families, fall activities, the shift in weather.  My hope is that this helps make meal planning a bit easier for all of you!

Here are a few Questions with Answers:

Where Do I find the monthly meal plan?

I have made the meal plan a PDF for download.  september meals

Why is it hand written?

Being the first month doing this I am still trying to figure it all out!  I did handwritten this month because it was quickest and easiest.  At first my plan was to take the next few months to make it into a document with direct link to the recipes, but I also love handwritten things, so we will see where it goes!

Where do I find the recipes?

I have used Pinterest to share all the recipes.  There are SO many recipes online, and even when you search something out on Pinterest you can get so many results you don’t know where to start.  I have made it simple.  I have checked each link to be sure 1. the link is working and takes you directly to the recipe you want and 2. It is easy to follow and easy to make.  You will see the September Dinners Pinterest Board also has labels under each photo of what day it corresponds with.  So if you choose to follow the meal plan daily, it is easy to find the recipe you need.

Is your family using this meal plan?

This does not have a clear cut answer.  My hope is to try as many recipes from this meal plan as possible, and follow it to some extent.  I can’t promise that I will use it each and every day, but I don’t expect you to either!  It is a tool to help with meal planning, not something you have to use each and every day.  We have busy lives that sometimes means we don’t have the time to be in the kitchen!

I would love as much feedback as possible about this new monthly dinners post!  I hope to continue it month to month, but I want to be sure it is working for all of you as well!
